Want to opine on a bit of politics, how about the new attorney general:
Alberto "Torture is Legal" Gonzales has been named to replace John "What Bill of Rights?" Ashcroft. Gonzales is the White House counsel who wrote the memos legally justifying torture during the "war on terror". His name is often mentioned as a possible Supreme Court nominee.
Ashcroft said in his resignation letter, written before the election, that: "The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved. " Well that's comforting but will probably come as a surprise to everyone including Dick "Gloom and Doom Awaits" Cheney, who was always saying "we're going to be hit again" before the election. Guess Ashcroft should've talked to him.
