New Years Eve....?

What will you be doing?
Leave a message and fill me in on your plans for this quiet/wild/crazy/sedate/spontaneous night....which ever way you like to celebrate it.

Seattle New Years of Last.....

Just a memory of my last New Year's Eve, also Christmas.

I was in Seattle; contemplating a move there. With Kevin.
Great guy. Long distance is hard. Gets harder and that is why I am not there now.
Still someone I think of often and I know he is doing well.

So, if any of my friends on here are from Seattle look for a very sexy, 42 year old man roaming around Capital Hill in a hot VW, run after him cause he is worth being caught.

Fireworks off the space needle and champagne in the Park on First Hill with a gaggle of very mixed couples. Gloves and scarves and new sweaters. Digital pictures since lost but not the memories.

Just memories folks, we all have them, this one just came flooding out right now.

Hope you can be with the ones you love this year, and if you can't let them know beforehand. I plan on it.

Is this for New Yawkers or for the Olympic Dream?

How hot would this be if it should come to pass out in Brooklyn? Even though it looks to have everything I would love I am still not sure if it would get me out to there. Takes alot to get across that bridge or to go under that water in a subway. Kidding, I am not that bad. I take that subway to get me to the JFK Airport all the time.

I Wish You All Well.

I have been waiting for a reason to post this and now that we are heading headfirst into the New Year; I thought this would be a good time. I hope I can change to live by some of these thoughts that I don’t already live up to.

And anyone can read this. This goes for all the ones worshipped throughout the world.

Subject: TEN THINGS YOUR GOD WON'T ASK

01. God won't ask what kind of car you drove; He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
02. God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
03. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
04. God won't ask what your highest salary was; He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
05. God won't ask what your job title was; He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of our ability.
06. God won't ask how many friends you had; He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
07. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
08. God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.
09. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation; He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
10. God won't ask how many people you forwarded this to; He'll ask if you were ashamed to pass it on to your friends.

Not My Nate

Just going through the news when I found this story. Don't even ask me what I am doing up at this time of the night. I am and always will be a night owl. Besides I slept most of the day.CNN.com - American who survived tsunami tells of devastation - Dec 26, 2004 This news story in general was sad, but damn Nate is such a cutie, glad he is okay. I am sure all our hopes are with his friend, Fernando, who happens to be a well known photog here in NYC.

Oprah needs to send a plane to bring back Nate and hopefully Fernando to O'Hare immediately.

Happy Holidays To All.

It is actually funny how of late I have heard so much about the way people wish seasons greetings to one and all. It now seems wrong to say "Merry Christmas" to people on the street or even your own friends.

I hear recently that someone thought that wishing them a Merry Christmas made them have to acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

I will wish people Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Chinese New Year(when the time comes). What I am saying is take it as it is meant; as a warm wish from the person who said it to you and stop being so damn PC.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

A test of posting from......

my pocket pc.
I am just trying to see how many ways I can reach out to the world.
More to come soon.

Where does the Time Go?

Seems like it was just yesterday I was sitting here writing away about Westphalias and bad cell manners and then poof (and I am not talking about me) it is a week later.

Well, little and much has happened.

My 33rd birthday came and went like a flash. Sad to say the work day was bad on that Wednesday, but the evening more than made up for it. A very nice dinner and for those who know me I don't eat a regular dinner that often. More the late night eater; being the night owl that I am.

But EJ took me to a very nice restaurant called Hearth on 12th Street and First Avenue. Great food, had the Quail appetizer and the Lamb entree both were great. Oh and should you go get the Pureed Sweet Potatoes. I sampled first and remarked that the were like warm baby food, but in a very good way, never have I had something smoother in my mouth....wait, what? Well, anyway, they were great.

Then off to Ruby Lounge on 2nd Street between Avenue A & B. Very cool, mixed group, not many people on a Wednesday which made it quite nice to sit and talk and relax. Oh yeah, check out the bathrooms, many hot things to check out in there.

I was quite thankful for such a peaceful evening. This coming from someone who doesn't ever do much on his birthday, it was nice to have friends who wanted to make something of it. I thank you.

So this little message is being brought to you courtesy of Grounded. A very cute little organic coffee and tea house at 28 Jane Street. Stop on in. I would have their website listed but it is not up and running yet, but I will give the link anyway and maybe they will put something up soon.

Ear Piece in Place and Jabbering

Okay, so it isn't like we haven't all been guilty of speaking about things on our cell phones that we shouldn't in public but I do love this little card that I came across.
Not only is it funny, if you are bold enough there is a PDF file you can download, cut out and be “on the ready” to hand out to cell phone offenders.
I though find I try to tune out people talking on cell phones so I probably wouldn’t be able to fill in the card in great detail on their conversation.

Whose Up For a Roadtrip in This?

Just for the sheer joy of a great animated concept car, which please God, I hope they make, go check out this site. Looks like they have gotten it right.

Click on the Westphalia to be led to the site.
Click on the van as it is part of their rotation menu.
From there just check it out.
Make sure you catch the Quicktime movie also.

Okay, who is getting me one? I will tell you now, I don't care how it sounds but I have always loved traveling in this style.

When I was but 8 or 9 my parents went and purchased a Southwind Motorhome. Never before had I seen anything like it. At the time all our vacations were either local or by plane. We weren't ones for the open road, much less cross country treks to visit family, Niagra Falls, Tradewinds, Dollywood or the grand daddy of them all, Walt Disney World.

But I will tell you; getting into that home on wheels was so much fun. I couldn't wait for any chance to pop up to get in it and just ride.

"What, Dad? Did you see an oil change at the station? Can I come?"

"Can I pack up the camper with the food and suitcases we are taking?"

Never was I such a helpful kid as when it came to get that thing on the road. Of course, later in life once I got my car and was more on my own it did take a back seat. We didn't travel so much anymore. Everyone was doing their own thing. Plus gas was just CRAZY expensive to fill it up.

I always thought I would get one as an adult. At the time I didn't think I would be living in NYC, but it was always on my mind. God, seeing the new version of what used to be really brings back memories. Including that first campground group shower area...but I will leave that to another time. Oh, come on I was but no more than 11 years old. Dirty minded perverts.

I will tell you though that if I didn't know what I wanted before I went in I knew what I wanted when I came out.

I already showed you the new one that I want. To quote Ferris, "Que Bella ". Now you can take a look at a couple of old pics of the one I used to enjoy. Tell me, do u think I would enjoy the new one?

What was the news of the hour? Day?

10x10 / 100 Words and Pictures that Define the Time Found this site a couple of weeks ago and thought it was quite interesting. Takes a couple of seconds to get it, some may take minutes, but I still liked it. See exactly what is being reported on globally. Plus I like the collages.

I Want to Look Natural but Better

Ran across this site while browsing and found it too funny/sick/sad/depressing not to pass it on to all my friends. Awful Plastic Surgery should be required viewing/reading for any tween, teen or adult who has the dream of improving through surgery.

And poor Tara........

Pearl Harbor Raid, 7 December 1941

Seems the day was going by and no one had said anything about it. Do we forget to easily? I am sure there are many out there from all over the world who will never forget. We need to keep our history. Remember our battles won and lost.

Where should I go ?

Hey All,
Just trying to get a clue on where I should take a quick trip to this coming weekend?
Want some place warm, sunny and very friendly. I don't want to have to rent a car and don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg.

Any ideas?

How I Spent the Afternoon.
