Alone 4 Holidays

How many of you had to go home for the holidays because ‘you were expected at home’? I was sitting at home, glad to be alone for the holidays with peace in mind as people ran all over the globe to sit with their family and then get on IM later in the evening wishing they were back home relaxing. Now I do know many people who just went and hung out with friends and I did that before Xmas and after, but I like to take that one day and really just do what I want to do; as Mr. Carp would say, “All alone.” And if you don’t know who Mr. Carp then don’t ask. Okay, maybe my international readers can ask….and my str8 friends. Haha I hope those of you that I didn’t speak with over Xmas did have a joyous time with those you love/hate/ignore.

2nd Chances....

Or should I say 2nd, 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th chances? This is the year that I learned that I can be too hard on myself and on others. I was blessed to be given a 4th chance in one case and it is one I will not be screwing up again. We shall leave it at that. As for others; I was always the person who, if you hurt me, I could/would easily cut you out of my life no matter how much it hurt me. Well I have learned that maybe talking and working through the problems is a lot easier and you never know what kind of friend you will get out of it. If not a friend; then at least you will have piece of mind with the situation. Sorry, this does not apply to politicians.

Happy Holidays

iPod Touch

Merry Christmas. I got an iPod Touch for Christmas. And now I just have to get the computer back on Windows XP to use it to its full extent. Went and got the protective covers and left on the screen film to protect it. I do need to go get the sheets to protect the screen though. I am loving it. 8GB and still have about 4GB of space left. But I have pictures, music, videos and television shows on it already. All that I need. Plus it is wireless and a good browser, except that it does not do Flash.

Oh Pete, Cook Me Some Food..

So as I read my many blogs and sites I do daily I ran across a banner ad for Randy Blue Ripped . Pete is somewhat of a body builder/personal trainer who along with many video training sessions and photo sets also gets into nutrition for different diets and such. Seemed like a cool guy so I thought I would give him a mention. Here he is getting ready to give you two different options for Turkey Meatloaf. Check out the site for different ideas. Oh yeah, almost everything is done shirtless or in briefs.

Thanks.....

I just like to say thanks to all involved when I have had a great day, evening, night....whatever. I got to hang yesterday and last night with some people I really do care about. Doing not much more than nothing. Oh yeah, volleyball on ESPNU both Wednesday and Thursday night. the DVR is set. I hope there is enough room, I might end up saving just the best matches so I can still record my "View", "ANTM" and "Project Runway". Sorry for the randomly sporadic updates and I will try and do more regularly scheduled updates. Probably not daily but it will get back there come the new year.

Another Crazy Saturday Night....

So once I dragged my tired ass home from volleyball this past Saturday night, ate and had time to relax it was 11pm. So there was once one party on my schedule for Saturday night. It started at 8pm but I am always late to these parties so I knew I could show up at 11:30 with no problem. Claire's Hotel Bash was the spot to make. Had a great time with all those above and not pictured but mostly with those pictured. Hey, who knew str8 parties split into two camps (those watching the PPV fight and those talking volleyball/Bravo reality) could get along. Haha. Actually no one talked to the PPV Fight people. They all left when the fight was over. Onto Christmas.

I Really Shouldn't Post this....

and believe me I did not think I would have fun at anything but the sporty Wii games but all of it was fun. I think I could sit there with Marble Madness and just go crazy. As you can see in the video though I loved the tennis. Really easy to learn what to do but not easy to always DO IT. Half of us had never touched a game since Nintendo 64, the other half play it all the time. That's HOT. I can say that since my Wii character was Paris H, as created by Ewerton.

Enrique Iglesias - Tired Of Being Sorry

Enrique Iglesias - Tired Of Being Sorry Video sent by Enrique-Iglesias So I thought when I saw this was online I would see the models from America's Next Top Model. If you watch the show you would know they had a challenge regarding performing in this video. Two girls, Lisa and Heather, were featured in very clear scenes. Just watched this and not one of the girls is in it. All have been replaced. Guess not even one of them was good enough. Made me laugh and a little sad.

First Snowfall

Oh, we knew it was coming and now we are getting our first real snowfall. I don't like the snow.

Mia & Celine

So Michael, who ended up on a boys weekend in Las Vegas with a friend after a visit to Los Angeles, emailed me this AM about their shows from last night. They did "O". I didn't expect too much, seen one seen them all for me. He liked it I guess. But they highlight was a Ms Celine Dion and he said, "Celine was great. Amazing she could keep the energy up after 5 yrs. Each song was like a live music video complete with dancers (about 40 of them) and changing backdrops like a broadway show. Quite amazing." Now I knew it was going to be good but I had no idea that the highlight would be him running into Ms Mia Michaels from " So You Think You Can Dance " and just plain ol' choreography fame. I have loved everything I have seen her choreograph and I will continue to. She is magic and an artist and a breath of fresh air when you need it. Wow, I never gush about anyone like this. Guess I really think she is "the poo".

World AIDS Day 2007

Strange to have a day when we try to celebrate the knowledge and medical advances on something but not be able to say "Happy" before it. Happy World AIDS Day? Seems backwards to me, I guess that is why we don't say it. Seems like if anything we just have this day as a big media event so people can pat themselves on the back and still turn a blind eye. That goes for the everyday person who has become complacent with what they do in and out of the bedroom. As someone who was in grammar school when AIDS came to be; it was always at the forefront of what I heard and that was "Protect Yourself, Stay Safe". I have lived by that for the past 25years or so. Okay, so really only for the past 19 years. I was not having any kind of relations before then but it was always in my head and yes fear made me protect myself. Times like this I think fear is a good thing. Fear of losing your life. Fear of relying on a mix of drugs to give you a life which you really don't w

NY Players in DC

So now that the long weekend is well over and Wednesday has come I am finding the time to sit and post about the things that have been going on since Thanksgiving. I just posted a few pictures from Thanksgiving Parade but after the parade was packing for a volleyball tournament in Washington DC. Went down with a team of my friends who play in both Gotham and Urban here in NYC. We were playing in a new division, BB+. It is equal mix of rated A and BB players and I was looking forward to it. Kind of funny how the last few tournaments I have been to I have ended up playing with a setter who I had never met before we stepped on the court. But let me see both times have been very enjoyable; the first was a great setter who led our team through some great games and the second from the past weekend was just as good but he made me laugh and be silly throughout the weekend. I look forward to hanging out with him again really soon even though he is up in Toronto. We finished our first day 2wins

More Pics from the Parade.

Just thought I would keep it simple and show those select few pictures that I really liked and the street corner we were on for reference sake. Was my first time in my 13 years of being in the city of actually being there for the beginning of the parade and dealing with the crowds. Was fun and of course hanging with my buddy Vilmar made it great. I will miss him when he leaves to go back to UTA in less than two weeks.

Thanksgiving Look.

Just sitting here in DC waiting for my friend to get himself together and I thought I would post a pic from Thursdays parade.

I Swear....

Editors of Project Runway: Please, please edit out any more of Ricky crying. It is only the second episode and he has cried at least twice. Bitch can't take it. Just edit him out of the show. I don't care if he ends up winning; which I highly doubt. I swear is he cries one more time for no reason in his little hysterical manner I will stop watching until he gets his "auf wiedersehen" from Heidi.

Oh Project Runway..

I am just about to watch tonights episode on the DVR so I can skip through the commercials and all of Tim's "Words of Wisdom". I swear that man is now working my last nerve. I would think Parson's would lock him out. I have no favorites since the hottie Raimi gave, in my opinion, one of the most boring creations last week. Especially if that is the basic stuff he does in his store. Is he another Chloe? I really liked Chloe though. Hope you dig that MadTV skit. They really can make u crack on a show.

Explain to me, please........

why I have been laying here awake since 6:34am for no damn reason?!?! I didn't even see the sandman til about 3am and now I am up with the sunrise with some naughty but pointless thoughts in my head. Pray I can go back to sleep before I really have to get up or should I just get up since it will soon be a full hour I have been awake? (Mobile posting)

My Girls....

so last night was the Victoria's Secret 2007 Runway Show . Strange but I wait for this show every year. Michael says it is sick and then wonders if I am really gay because he says I get a sick look on my face when watching it. But we all know gay men watch runway and wait for the highlights and those few things we can pick apart. I already have some thoughts on this show just from the pictures but I will hold my tongue until the show is broadcast on CBS this December 4th. Here is some video from last years show available on CBS.com

DVR Recordings

It is actually kinda of scary how easily you can really start to fill up a 40-80gig DVR (digital video recorder). Seems that with the current writers strike I can't really bare to try and watch reruns of The Daily Show and with pretty much all shows stopping production we are going to be headed into reruns come next month. Which isn't much of a surprise since sweeps are coming up and we would be in reruns and mid-season replacements anyway. I do notice that I am reluctant to watch most of the shows on the DVR so I will have plenty to watch when the time comes, but then again when I don't watch those shows I can not watch the next episode on shows like Heroes, Journeyman, Ugly Betty, The Hills, ANTM or Brothers & Sisters. Wow, I guess I just really gave you pretty much all of my favorite shows and I would think some of the gayest shows on tv right now. I like though that I have a equal mix of scripted and reality shows. Life should be about variety. Oh and since this i

Forgive & (kinda) Forget

The last few weeks I have been just posting items that are mostly photos with a story but not much real substance. Well, after putting it off for a few weeks I do have to finally write about that one man who really got under my skin then pretty much did the whole "Alien" thing to get out. Okay, so that is a bit much on the description but you know how it feels when someone leaves you and you are left there just in a pile. So Schawn came to town after putting it off once before; things came up on his end. He wasn't here to see me per se, but he did want to make a point of seeing me face to face after more than two years. We met up. Had a nice sushi lunch then came with some very nasty tea. We hung out, we talked and I think we both came out of it better than we went in. I can see us really being friends again. Good friends and I will always wish him the best in his life and I was very happy to hear the things he said about me (back then and now) and I am very happy to h

The Only Reason to Watch Dancing With The Stars

is Maksim Chmerkovskiy (oh yeah, Mel B also). They better win, but I don't go as far as voting. Maybe I will do some email voting on the last week, but I would NEVER call in. I save that for So You Think You Can Dance. LOL

Gone Mama Gone: Farewell

In Memory of Noi Chudnoff. Noi, owner of Go Mama Go!, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, after a fall at Holy Cross Hospital. I had written a post this past June 6th after a trip down to DC where I met Noi and found her to be such a nice woman and then I was told of all her efforts in the DC gay community. Just thought it right to acknowledge her death just as I had her life up to the point I met her. Here is a comment that was let anonymously on the post I wrote in June. Anonymous said... Noi was my friend. We met in Oregon while I was selling products to newcomers. We had Thai cooking classes in her humble home and went canoing on the Williamson River for crawdads. We shared good cups of coffee and pastry together and vegetables and fruits from our gardens. She had an incredible sense of style. I am saddened greatly by her sudden death. She touched many people with her kindnesses and her wit. We loved her very much. We will miss her very much. Please continue to support her causes and he

NY Kryptonite (We Leave You Weak)

So this past weekend was the Golden Apple Tournament in NYC. It was held at Queens College out in, duh, Queens. Above is my team, NY Kryptonite. Jake, Joe, Bart, Giulio, Adam and myself. I had such a great time with this truly great bunch of guys. I do see them all weekly but this is the first time we have all played together. Was a learning lesson for many and I hope not the last that many of us will play together. Our theme song, "Apologize"by Timbaland/OneRepublic. Just seems every time we got in Bart's Escalade to head back to Manhattan that song was on the XM radio Top 20. Love it.

And the Winner is......

the Fujifilm Finepix F480 for a ridiculous price at Best Buy. I mean it was on major sale starting today and it was just what I wanted. Expect to see some pictures from me yet again. Think I will head out now and take some test shots.

Ugly People

A bus carrying only ugly people crashes into an oncoming truck, and everyone inside dies. As they stand at the Pearly Gates waiting to enter Paradise and meet their maker, God decides to grant each person one wish because of the grief they have experienced. They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what the wish is. "I want to be gorgeous," and so God snaps His fingers, and it is done. The second one in line hears this and says "I want to be gorgeous too." Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted. This goes on for a while with each one asking to be gorgeous, but when God is halfway down the line, the last guy in the line starts laughing. When there are only ten people left, this guy is rolling on the floor, laughing his head off. Finally, God reaches this last guy and asks him what his wish will be. The guy eventually calms down and says: "Make 'em all ugly again." NEXT TIME YOU'RE LAST IN LINE. BE HAPPY !

Well, I Am Glad I Don't Fit In Anymore...

Work It Out.

So I quickly left the new job I had taken because it REALLY wasn't for me. So who has some work for me. Must be in NYC, creative, dealing with people, minimal phone if possible(I am better face to face). Blah, blah, blah... I will try and start writing more creative posts since I have the free time.

Enough With the Megarich....

what about the real, well the somewhat real, people who live in the area? All I hear is that these celebs aren't at these homes now but what about the real people who have to live there every day and are being evacuated? Scary and sad at the same time.

Strokes Are Gone, But Not Forgotten.

Had a good time with my guys when they came to town this past weekend. They sold their calendars, roamed the streets of Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen and the West Village. Just what all visiting gay boys need to do when they come to NYC. For all of you who I pestered into buying a calendar; Thank you very much. For those of you who didn't; YOUR CHEAP. Kisses.

A Little Ditty For Your Day.

My friend Richard sends me stories often that he thinks I might find interesting. Today he sent me this little gem that I liked because it fit me and many of my friends so well. Gay Flight Attendant Our flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served food and drinks. As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told the passengers that "Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super." On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and rather Arabic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground." She calmly turned her head and said, "In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from

Shirtless Pics

Seems everyone today was shirtless so I will not post anymore shirtless pictures today, unless people reading this happen to send me some personal shots. So lets see who has the guts. I doubt anyone will, and of course I will possibly edit down, but the dare is out there.

Best Shirtless Picture of the Day.

Looks like Henry ( Christopher Gorham ) on Ugly Betty will be showing some skin during next week's episode. Now I have had a crush on him since Popular and Jake 2.0 so to all of you who think you found something on Ugly Betty; I have way, way ahead of you.

Stroke, Stroke, Stroke

Get stroked in person: 10/20 - New York City (Chelsea) Rainbows Bookstore 12-3 p.m. 10/20 - New York City (Chelsea) Gym Sports Bar 5-9 p.m. Men of Strokes Calendar Website I should really have posted this before but my friend Michael Z. and members of his rowing team from the DC Strokes are headed to NYC this weekend to promote their 2008 calendar. Should be a great time and a real pleasure to meet these guys as they do two meet and greets in Chelsea. I can imagine that GYM Bar will be packed, especially since it is also during the Saturday volleyball day and that is where we all end up between 5-9pm. Come say hi, get a look, take a photo with a Stroker and then BUY THE CALENDAR. See you there..

I Couldn't Resist

So this morning as I go through my usual blogs to do a little catching up ( Towleroad , Kenneth in the 212 , OhLALA and After Elton ) I noticed everyone seemed to be talking about this stunt that Improv Everywhere did at the A&F Flagship store on 56th Street and 5th Avenue) Improv Everywhere had 100 men show up in Central Park, strip off their shirts and go shopping at Abercrombie and Fitch. All was fine I guess until management asked them to leave 15 minutes later. From what I can see they might have asked some of the guys to stay for employment positions because as we all know Abercrombie has the shirtless guy meeting you at the entrance and just tons and tons of pictures of shirtless men throughout the store. Check out the video and here are some members who have more pictures on their flickr accounts: Brian , Chad , Ari and Kate .

The One Picture from PITT.

So being without a real camera it isn't as much fun to take pics but I did take this shot outside the Doubletree hotel we stayed in. And I have to say when did Doubletree become so upscale. That hotel was hot. Plus a major health club that we had access to and a killer very deep(10ft) pool. Will write more about it in next post. Chris http://Saintly71.blogspot.com

PITT Here I Come

Hey all, sorry for the delay in posting but headed to Pittsburgh this weekend for a volleyball tournament. Should be fun and if I can find an open wifi connection I will be posting some mobile pics to the blog. Be good, have a good weekend and wish us luck. WE WILL NEED IT.

Late Night; Last Night

Okay, so at 2am in the morning, on the streets of Manhattan while I am a few blocks from home at a gyro stand, that post seemed cute and funny and a bit full of myself. But then again I have not gotten any comments saying anything to the contrary so I will run with it and hold my head high and be sexy all weekend. Long, long since I washed off that stamp from last night. Weekend weather in NYC should be great. Looking forward to being out later today, tomorrow for some of the Gay Superbowl downtown, then coaching my volleyball guys to, hopefully, an other win. Sunday will be my day to really get out with friends and enjoy our last bits of summer. Hope your weekend will be as good as I hope mine is.

That Says It All.

And it has returned....

The "I Ran" SNL video is back up, go check it out before it pulled again.

Gone.

So someone must have complained and as we know, if someone complains Youtube will take down the video. I will see if I can find it someplace else but it was funny. I hope some of you were able to see it while it was still posted. Adam Levine looked SO good.

SNL Does it Again....

So Andy Samberg is at it again, this time with Fred Armisen. You can also check out hottie Adam Levine from Maroon 5 doing backup/harmony. How long before this is banned in Iran? I loved it. I am going to watch it again right now. Enjoy.

Awake and Kicking

So after sleeping just 3.5 hours Friday night so I could be up by 4am for the Urbanathlon I am now awake after falling asleep at 11pm last night. Yeah, it was like 9 hours. Anyway, my friend and fellow volunteer Mike posted his pictures last night and he had about 72 so there are too many to post up on here so I thought I would take a couple and share some of the fun. Thanks.
